Public speaking

I’m not very good in English speaking but at least I can converse and communicate with others , what matters is that I’m not able to express my ideas clearly , I have often put myself in troubles that constantly leads my lecturer to misunderstand me and ask to explain what I mean...
Our first task is to do an assignment which is given by our beloved lecturer,

we need to create a blog. Seriously, b4 this we don’t know how blogging is and after the task given, we try to learn it slowly. Now, we feel very hepy becoz we have our own blog…huhuhu :)
So let see what the task given by our lecturer…
first HOW CAN I IMPROVE MY BASIC KNOWLEDGE IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE?
~ u can improve English by READING newspaper, story books, and magazines. when u read the English books, u will learn many words that u don’t know before this and u can improve ur vocabulary.
u also can JOIN ENGLISH CLASS. when u join this class, u can improve ur grammar and writing.
Besides that, u can TALK with frens, family on work in English and others.. For me, daily communicate with family members or close fren can improve my English and it will make you feel more confident to speak in English..
U also should WATCH English movie becoz the conversation are under screen. Other than that, prepare ur own DICTIONARY of words. Every day, try to write down some of the key new words that u have mastered that day…lastly, u can improve ur English through LISTEN song which is you can learn from the lyrics of the songs..
Next question is WHY DO I FEEL NERVOUS IN FRONT OF THE PUBLIC and HOW DO I OVERCOME NERVOUSNESS?
~ feeling nervous at the thought of public speaking is normal. U will produce extra adrenaline, heart pound faster and ur hands shake, ur knees weak n muscle tensed. But, u can learn to control ur nervousness. feel nervous in front of the public becoz….
first, I’m not CONFIDENT. Actually, confident will come when we have ready…if not we can’t say anything and being dumb in front of public although they are only our friend that we recognize them..
furthermore, I AFRAID people will laughing at me….this is becoz I’m not confident with my pronunciation n I always feel that I am not perfect and I don’t know how audience will react to my speech or presentation…
when I stand in front of people I feel BREAKDOWN n easy forget what I want to say..this is becoz I feel the audience just focus on me…
~ so, how do I overcome nervousness???
Emmm…firstly, u must be PREPARED. Make sure u remember all the important point to avoid trouble.. If u have a date, perhaps try to think of a few interesting topic to bring up in case the conversational flow hits an awkward silence.
Second……u must BREATHE DEEPLY N SLOWLY… before u start ur presentation u must get cool down…besides that, u must think +ve n ignore what people say…
Hurm……lastly, the overcome nervousness is MORE PRACTICE….. u should take action and put yourself in situation that may make u nervous the more confident u become. So u feel more n more comfortable n less nervous…
